This site is divided into four parts:

The first is a set of tables and spreadsheets of measurement data	View Data

Virtual Oboe Project Web Site Version 2.0

This is an updated version of a series of pages at www.hautbois.net which were developed as a prototype for this project. A description of the previous versions is available on the documentation main page.

Plans:

Conversion from the static prototype pages to display from the database.
Inclusion of further Hautboy Listserv messages for documentation of how measurements are done and the significance or lack thereof of elliptical bore information.
New data for Hautboys by Rottenburgh, Schlegel, Thomas Lot, C.W. Sattler, Delusse, C.A. Grenser and Engelhard from Michel Piguet's collection by M. Kirkpatrick.
New data for Oboe d'amores by Poerschman, I.H. Eichentopf, I.C. Denner, Oberlender; measured by Paul Hailperin.
New data for Taille d'hautboy by I.F. Roth, I.C. Denner, Deper; measured by Paul Hailperin.
Two additional pages showing comparitive data for all instruments for all tone hole distances from the top of the instrument as well as socket and tenon lengths.
The documentation for the proposed database will be placed in a PDF document for download rather than attempting to display the large diagrams as images on Web pages.
